Model College Dumka, established in 2022, is situated in Vijaypur — approximately 10 kilometers from Sido Kanhu Murmu University and 5 kilometers from Dumka railway station. The college offers undergraduate programs across diverse disciplines, including B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, and B.CA. Admissions to these courses are conducted directly, following the regulations prescribed by the Government of Jharkhand and Sido Kanhu Murmu University.

The college functions under the academic jurisdiction of Sido Kanhu Murmu University (SKMU), a distinguished public institution serving the Santhal Parganas region of Jharkhand.
